Full safety and care policy
1. Product-specific instructions take priority
Follow the care, capacity, temperature, dishwasher, microwave and intended-use information supplied with the particular product. Where no suitability claim is made, do not assume the item is safe for a dishwasher, microwave, oven, freezer, hob, open flame or other specialist use.
2. Inspection and washing
Inspect teaware and packaging on arrival. Do not use a product with a crack, chip, sharp edge, loose component or other damage. Wash before first use using the method stated for the product. Keep packaging while inspecting in case a return is needed.
3. Heat and thermal shock
Hot liquids can cause burns. Place teaware on a stable, heat-resistant surface and keep it away from edges and children. Avoid rapid temperature changes, such as pouring boiling water into chilled glass or placing hot glass on a cold or wet surface, unless the manufacturer expressly confirms the item is designed for that use.
4. Glass, lids, infusers and moving parts
Handle glass components gently. Ensure lids, filters, seals and infusers are seated correctly before pouring. Do not force tight components. Support the vessel and lid when pouring where the design requires it. Discontinue use if a handle, lid, seal or infuser becomes loose or damaged.
5. Cleaning
Use non-abrasive cleaning methods suitable for the material. Avoid harsh scourers or sudden temperature changes during washing. Tea staining is cosmetic and should be removed only with a method suitable for the product material. Follow any bamboo, silicone, metal or filter-specific care instructions.
6. Children and vulnerable users
Teaware is not a toy. Hot drinks and breakable glass require adult supervision. Keep broken pieces and small removable parts away from children and pets.
7. Faults and safety incidents
Stop using the product and contact us if it fails during normal use or appears unsafe. Retain the product, packaging and identifying marks unless doing so is unsafe. We may request photographs, return or other information for investigation. This does not reduce statutory rights.
8. No separate limitation of legal rights
Care instructions do not excuse a manufacturing defect or make the customer responsible for damage caused by a product that was unsafe, faulty or not as described. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Recalls and corrective action
We may issue updated instructions, request return, replace, refund or recall a product where a safety risk is identified. Follow any Important Safety Warning promptly and do not continue using a recalled product.
