Boteane gift cards

Gift cards may be used towards eligible products on Boteane.co.

They can be used more than once until the balance is spent, where the checkout supports partial balances.

They cannot be exchanged for cash or used to buy another gift card.

Validity: no expiry.

Keep the code safe. Contact us promptly if it is lost or sent to the wrong email.

Full gift card terms

1. Issue and delivery

A gift card is issued for the value paid and delivered in the form shown at checkout. Check the recipient email address carefully. An acknowledgement is not proof that a gift card has been received or redeemed.

2. Redemption

Gift cards may be redeemed on Boteane.co for eligible products and delivery charges where the checkout permits. They may be used as part payment and, where technically supported, across more than one transaction until the balance is exhausted. Any remaining balance is not paid as cash.

3. Validity

Boteane gift cards currently have no expiry date. Boteane will not introduce an expiry retrospectively for gift cards already issued without one. If the policy changes for future gift cards, the new validity period will be shown clearly before purchase and in the gift-card delivery message.

4. Restrictions

Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, resold commercially, used to buy another gift card or combined with a promotion that expressly excludes them. They are not bank deposits or electronic money unless the law characterises a particular product otherwise.

5. Loss, theft and unauthorised use

Treat the code like cash. We are not responsible for use by someone who obtained a valid code unless the loss resulted from our breach or lack of reasonable security. Contact us promptly. We may replace a card where we can verify purchase, remaining balance and non-redemption, but cannot guarantee replacement after value has been used.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Statutory cancellation rights apply where applicable. A gift card that has been redeemed in whole or part cannot normally be cancelled for change of mind. Where goods bought with a gift card are refunded, the refund is normally returned to the gift-card balance, except where law requires another method.

7. Fraud and errors

We may suspend a gift card while investigating suspected fraud, technical error or unauthorised creation. We will act reasonably and restore valid value where appropriate.
