Five blends, four paid for
Buy four, get one free has been running since February with no code and no end date. Five teas is a week rather than the same cup five times.
A cupboard with one tea in it is a cupboard where somebody drinks the same thing at eight in the morning and eight at night, and then lies awake wondering why.
A cupboard with five is a week. Something strong for the start of the day, something green for the middle of it, and something with no caffeine in it for after four.
The short answer
Buy four, get one free runs on 102 Boteane teas. It has been live since 11 February, it has no end date, no code and no limit per order, so ten teas means two are free. Add five eligible teas and the fifth comes off at the basket. Five Classic 15g teas at £7 each is £35, so you pay £28. That is about seventy-five cups at roughly 37p a cup instead of 47p.
How the offer actually works
Add four eligible teas and a fifth, and the fifth is free at checkout. No code to enter, no newsletter to join, no minimum spend beyond the four. Sizes can be mixed, so a basket can hold two 100g pouches and three 15g ones.
102 of the teas qualify. Not quite every single product does, so the basket is the honest check. If the fifth does not come off, swap it for one that does.
Five that cover a whole day
£7 each for 15g, fifteen cups. Five of them is £28 instead of £35.
A week that uses all five
The point of five rather than one is the clock. Two caffeinated teas carry the morning and early afternoon, and three caffeine free ones take over from about four, which is the hour most people get wrong.
An ordinary day, in five cups
Black tea and safflower petals. Nothing clever going on, which is the point. Takes milk, takes a second cup, and it is the only one of the five that would be genuinely missed if you ran out on a Monday.
Green tea, lime leaves, lemon, lime, blue cornflower petals. Sharp rather than grassy, which is the difference between a green tea people finish and a green tea people pour away. Low enough not to stack on the breakfast cup.
Apple, hibiscus petals, rosehip, orange, with safflower, marigold and calendula through it. Sweet enough to stand in for something off a trolley, and the one most likely to be drunk by somebody who says they do not really like tea.
Apple, carrot, hibiscus petals, cinnamon, pomegranate, beetroot, cardamom, sea buckthorn, papaya. Deep orange in the cup and the one that makes a kitchen smell like October. Add hot milk and it is a tea latte.
Rooibos honeybush and whole camomile flowers. Round and slightly sweet without any sugar in it. Caffeine free, which is the entire job of an eleven o'clock tea.
Why loose leaf makes the maths work
A 15g pouch is about fifteen cups at one heaped teaspoon per 200 to 260ml. The ladder runs £7 for 15g, £12 for 30g, £20 for 60g and £30 for 100g, which takes a cup from 47p down to 30p before the free fifth is counted at all.
Stack the size ladder and the offer together and the cheapest cup in the shop is a 100g pouch bought as one of five. £120 for five hundred cups, a shade under 24p each.
Most people do not start there. Most people start with five Classic 15g pouches for £28, because it is the cheapest way to find out which five they actually want in the larger size.
If you would rather not choose at all
The Discovery Subscription does the choosing. £29 for the welcome box, RRP £55.50, then £22.50 a month for five 15g teas. Around seventy-five cups a box, roughly 27p a cup.
The first box includes a teapot or a cold brew bottle worth £32, your pick, and you set the lane: Green Tea, Caffeine-Free, Fruity Tea, or Surprise Me. It is rated 4.9 from 214 reviews, and the Flavour Promise credits back a tea that misses within fourteen days.
Buying five yourself is better if you already know what you like. The subscription is better if what you actually want is to stop deciding.
Questions we get
Do I need a discount code?
No. The offer is automatic. Add five eligible teas and the fifth comes off at the basket.
How many times can I use it in one order?
There is no per-order limit. Ten eligible teas means two are free, fifteen means three.
Which teas are eligible?
102 of them. Most of the range qualifies, but not every product. If the fifth tea does not come off at the basket, it is not an eligible one.
Can I mix sizes?
Yes. A basket can hold two 100g pouches and three 15g ones, and the offer still applies.
When does the offer end?
It has been running since 11 February 2026 and currently has no end date set.
Does it work with a subscription?
The offer applies to shop orders. The Discovery Subscription has its own pricing at £22.50 a month after the welcome box.
How many cups will five pouches make?
About seventy-five at the 15g size, or about five hundred if all five are 100g.
What is the cheapest cup I can get?
Five 100g pouches at £30 each, with one free, is £120 for roughly five hundred cups. A shade under 24p a cup.
