We publish genuine positive and negative reviews, subject to a clear moderation policy for unlawful or irrelevant content.

Full website and review terms

1. Permitted use

You may use Boteane.co for personal, lawful shopping, account management and engagement with our content. You may link to public pages fairly and lawfully without suggesting an unauthorised partnership or approval.

2. Prohibited conduct

Introducing malware, harmful code, automated attacks or unauthorised access.
Scraping, harvesting, copying or systematically extracting site content or personal information without permission or lawful basis.
Using the site for fraud, resale abuse, sanctions evasion, harassment, infringement or illegal activity.
Circumventing security, purchase limits, subscription controls, promotion rules or fair-use restrictions.
Impersonating another person or submitting false order, account or review information.

3. Intellectual property

Boteane's names, logos, photographs, illustrations, video, copy, recipes, layouts, software and other materials are owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual-property law. No rights are transferred except the limited right to use the website and purchased products for their intended personal purpose.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, protect credentials and tell us about unauthorised use. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or serious breach. Suspension does not remove obligations already incurred or statutory rights.

5. Reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and relate to the product or service reviewed. You must not submit fake, misleading, purchased, coordinated or undisclosed incentivised reviews. If an incentive is offered for an honest review, it must not depend on a positive rating and the incentive must be clearly disclosed.

We aim to publish all genuine, relevant and lawful positive and negative reviews without unreasonable delay. We may reject or remove content that is fake, unrelated, duplicative, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, infringes rights, reveals personal information, contains prohibited advertising or is otherwise unlawful. We do not edit a review to change its meaning.

6. Review verification and moderation

We may use order matching, technical checks, moderation and provider tools to assess authenticity. A "verified" label means the review was matched to a transaction through the available system; it is not a guarantee that every statement is correct. Our published review policy explains collection, checks, incentives and moderation.

7. Licence for user content

By submitting a review, photograph or other content for publication, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display it for operating and promoting Boteane, subject to applicable privacy and advertising law. You retain ownership. We will seek additional permission where a materially different use reasonably requires it.

8. Third-party links and services

The website may link to third-party sites or embed services. We are not responsible for their independent content or practices, but this does not affect responsibility for providers acting on our behalf or for information we are legally required to give.

9. Website availability

We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website for maintenance, security or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, but accepted orders and statutory rights remain governed by the applicable contract terms.
